This morning I'll be taking part on a panel discussing Technology and 21st Century Skills in the Art Classroom at the Grand Rapids Art Museum.
According to the flyer we will be:
Exploring best and emerging practices for applications of technology in the art room.
Engaged with a wide ranging panel of experts (that's me :) on the topics of social media, essential skills, classroom management, curriculum development, assessment, and contemporary art.
Connecting with educators (me again), artists, and administrators through online dialogue.
Discovering new and exciting ways to use technology in your classroom, while working with teachers from across the state to discuss and brainstorm solutions to potential stumbling blocks.
If you're not in grand Rapids, you can still follow along on Twitter. For starters, follow me @iansands
OK, here we go!

I stumbled on your blog from The Art of Ed! I went to Kendall College of Art and Design in Grand Rapids... the new art museum was built while I was in school. That's awesome that you spoke there! What a great opportunity. I currently live in Colorado and am making the move from middle school to high school for this next year... I will definitely use your blog as a resource!!
