The Third Period

If you have ever wondered what a professional hockey player sees when he looks up from the ice, now you know. This is the scene from the ice only minutes before they dropped the puck at RBC center tonight. And only two hours before the Carolina Hurricanes clinched the Southeast Division title.

Of course I didn’t have skates on tonight, let alone pads. I was in a cap and gown, walking across the ice to receive my diploma after having graduated from Hurricanes University. Good for me!

Ok, the Olympia is coming out to clear the ice. I have to go. It’s been a really fun week but now I need to put hockey aside and welcome back illustration. This week’s Illustration Friday word, Spring. I feel another turtle painting coming on :P
